We are so happy we met Carol Sanelli! My four year old son, John, was diagnosed with tongue thrust at the dentist's office and we were referred to Sandra Coulson & Associates. We had the great fortune of being treated by Carol.

Through Carol's patient guidance, John's mouth changed almost immediately. His upper teeth began to move into the proper position and his speaking skills improved. I am constantly asking to see his beautiful smile!

I just had to let you know how wonderful it has been being treated by you. For over 15 years, I've struggled with TMJ. Most healthcare professionals were more concerned about the damage to my teeth and gums than to all of the pain and discomfort this horrible condition was causing to me. I've worn a nightly mouth splint for over 13 years and it has "protected" my teeth. Until I started your sessions, I thought I was doing all I could for the grinding and clenching of my teeth and jaw. I'm delighted to find that I was wrong. With your help, my life is now full of "withouts". I wake up in the morning WITHOUT pain or soreness in my mouth, neck, jaw and shoulders. I can yawn WITHOUT pain. I can sleep through the night WITHOUT the need for a mouth splint to protect my teeth. I can now eat crunchy food WITHOUT pain. Who knew that going "without" could be so wonderful. I haven't been this excited about my professional career since I left college. It's a beautiful thing! I liked how the program was concise and to the point - very simple and yet specific. Learning new ideas on non-surgical face lifts will help me to help my patients stay looking younger and at the same time function better, adding to their quality of life. I appreciated the mix of lecture, hands-on and clinical observation.

Orofacial Myology

Back by popular demand, Sandra Coulson will be giving another presentation. We are happy to once again offer this exciting program for parents and professionals. Sandra's presentation on March 6 at the MHDSA office filled up so quickly that we had to turn more than 27 people away! She has graciously agreed to give another presentation at the Daniel's Fund building where we can accommodate everyone.

Orofacial mycology is therapy which improves facial, tongue, and lip movement, which in turn improves chewing, swallowing, speech and posture. Sandra R. Coulson, BA, COM, will be our presenter for the evening. She received her BA in Speech Therapy and Education from UNC in Greeley. During her career, she pursued research on Down syndrome under the famous Bobaths from England. Ms. Coulson holds Certification from the International Association of Orofacial Myology and has been in the field for over 35 years.
